Ohio-based juice firm Country Pure Foods has been sold to Japanese companies Sapporo International and Toyota Tsusho America in an agreement reached with private-equity firm Mistral Equity Partners. The joint venture will fold the company into its U.S. fruit beverage subsidiary Silver Springs Citrus. Country Pure Foods will keep its operations in Akron with the possibility of expansion.
