TreeHouse Foods plans to expand its organic and natural offerings in an effort to compete with private label brands such as Kroger’s Simple Truth and Simple Truth Organic lines by focusing “internally on reformulations and new products,” TreeHouse’s Chief Financial Officer Dennis Riordan said. Currently, less than 10% of company’s products fall into the natural and organic market, but it is “well-positioned to be a leader” within the segment, Riordan said.
